These pages are provided for information. You may read, quote and link to them freely, with attribution to Wax Almanac and a link to the source page. You may not republish a substantial part of the dataset as your own, or scrape the site to build a competing database.

Safety and no warranty

Burn testing involves open flame, hot wax, and combustion products. The procedures published here assume a controlled space, a fire extinguisher within reach, and an adult operator. They are not instructions for a first attempt at candlemaking, and they are not a substitute for your wax supplier's technical data sheet or your local fire regulations.

Every measurement here is a single-lab record taken under the stated conditions on a stated date. Materials vary between batches and suppliers. Nothing on this site is a specification, a guarantee of behaviour in your own vessel, or a formulation recommendation. The site is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, and we accept no liability for loss arising from reliance on it.

No advice

Material property data is informational only. It is not engineering, fire-safety, or regulatory advice. If you intend to sell a candle, the compliance obligations are yours and depend on your jurisdiction; check them with the relevant authority rather than with this site.
